The Student Union team provides leadership and support to a variety of services and programs within the Student Union and across campus. Our team is passionate about delivering outstanding service to students, faculty, staff, and guests with attention to detail, empathy for our customers, and imputed quality for Boise State University.
Brent has been a member of the Student Union since 2011 and from 2003-2009. Brent currently serves as the Student Union Director and provides leadership, supervision, development, and coordination for the Student Union. Brent rejoined Boise State University in 2011 and served as the Associate Director from 2011-1013. Brent spent two years as the Associate Director, Atwood Memorial Center at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. From 2003 - 2009, Brent served in a variety of positions in the Student Union, including Evening Facilities Manager, Facilities Manager, and Assistant Director. Brent has a B.S. in Recreation Administration from St. Cloud State University and a Masters of Physical Education, Athletic Administration from Idaho State University.
Serving as the Senior Associate Director since 2019 and Associate Director since 2014, Elise provides strategic leadership to University Event Services and Audiovisual Production Services, advises Campus Services communication planning and projects, and supports policy and guidelines development and interpretation on behalf of the Student Union and Campus Services. Elise previously worked with Boise State New Student Programs (2010-2014) where she coordinated first year student and family orientation and transition programs and established the Bronco Parent & Family Association. Elise began her higher education career at Vanderbilt University as Area Coordinator for Housing & Residential Education (2007-2009). Prior to moving west, Elise served as graduate assistant for both Northwestern University's Norris Center and the School of Education and Social Policy. Elise's degrees are in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University (MS '10) and Human and Organizational Development as well as English from Vanderbilt University (BS '07).
As the Assistant Director for Campus Services, Meaghan leads customer service initiatives and offerings on behalf of the Student Union. Meaghan provides leadership to the information desk student employee team, while also administrating system applications management for the Bronco Shop, Bronco Card, and University Dining.
Jentry has served as the Student Union Assistant Director since 2017. She provides leadership for University Event Services, where she brings a signature approach to client-centered events at the Student Union, Stueckle Sky Center, Special Events Center, outdoor events, and multiple other event venues across campus. She also supports curriculum design and facilitation of student employee training and development in the Student Union, with support to full time employee training and development. Jentry previously served as the Student Union's University Event Services Manager (2014-2017) and Event Coordinator for Stueckle Sky Center (2011-2014). Prior to working at Boise State, Jentry served as the Volunteer Coordinator for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho. Jentry has a B.A. in Communication from Boise State University. She is certified in Wedding and Event Planning by the U.S. Career Institute.
Sara joined University Event Services in 2016 as a student in the role of Assistant Event Coordinator. In 2017, she joined our professional team as an Event Coordinator, managing, scheduling, and coordinating events for the Student Union and various venues throughout campus. Sara holds a degree in Social Science from Boise State University, specializing in Criminal Justice and Psychology, as well as a Certificate in Leadership and Human Relations. As a Boise native, she enjoys most outdoor activities, from snowboarding in the winter to camping in the summer, and anything in between.
Marlayna joined the University Event Services team in the Spring of 2017 after serving as the Idaho National Guard MWR Events Manager at Gowen Field. She graduated with a degree from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Integrated Studies Degree in Communication, Technical Sales, and Interior Design. As an Event Coordinator, Marlayna manages, schedules, and coordinates events for the Student Union and various venues throughout campus. Whether planning large scale conferences, intimate weddings, or holiday parties, Marlayna makes event planning simple and enjoyable. With both an interior design and a catering background she brings attention to detail in every aspect of events from the event layout to the menu planning. Outside of work Marlayna loves traveling with her husband and spending time with her four children, especially at their sporting events. She has a passion for cooking, gardening, and enjoys entertaining family and friends in her Boise home.
Emma joined University Event Services in 2016 as Event Coordinator, managing scheduling and event coordination for the Student Union and various venues throughout campus. Emma holds a B.A. in Communication from Boise State University. Previously, Emma served as an Event Coordinator and Guest Relations Manager and as Box Office Assistant Manager for Centurylink Arena.
As a Client Relations Manager for the University Event Services team, Rochelle provides event education, scheduling, and coordination for the Student Union and various venues throughout campus, providing high-level coordination, planning, and event management. Rochelle provides coaching and direction for a team of students who receive professional development and training in event planning, management, and client care. Rochelle became an Event Coordinator for University Event Services in 2013 and a Senior Event Coordinator in 2016. Prior to joining University Event Services, Rochelle served as Event Coordinator for the Idaho Botanical Garden from 2011 to 2013. Rochelle has a B.A. in Communications and Public Relations from Boise State University and first joined the Student Union as an information desk student manager in 2007. She holds additional experience in promotions and program coordination.
Dunya joined University Event Services in 2016 as Event Coordinator, managing scheduling and event coordination for the Student Union and various venues throughout campus. Dunya has a degree in Hotel Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, with credentials from the Villingen-Schwenningen Hospitality Specialized School, Germany. Dunya previously served as Event Catering Sales Coordinator for Aramark, and in event coordination and business administration roles in Boise, Idaho and Ludwigshafen, Germany.
Andrew joined the Student Union team in the fall of 2017. As the Audiovisual Production Services Manager his responsibilities include overseeing the audiovisual production staff, providing event technology support, and providing production consultation and leadership for the Student Union, Special Events Center, Stueckle Sky Center, Alumni and Friends Center, and other special event locations across campus. Prior to joining Boise State University, Andrew worked at Brown University as an Instructional Multimedia Coordinator, where he helped faculty to integrate emerging technologies like 3D printing and virtual reality into their curriculum. Andrew has an MFA in Photography and Digital Imaging from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.
Andy joined the Student Union in 2017. As an Audiovisual Production Coordinator, his responsibilities include providing event technology support as well as production consultation and coordination for the Student Union, Special Events Center, Stueckle Sky Center, Alumni and Friends Center, and other special event locations across campus. Prior to joining Boise State, Andy worked at KTVB Broadcasting for 8 years in various positions, most recently as a Broadcast Engineer. He also worked as a Lead Technician for System Tech, Inc. helping install and program the nurse call systems for the Nampa St. Luke’s Hospital. He has a B.A. in Advertising and a minor in Film Studies from the University of Idaho. While attending the University of Idaho, Andy spent a great deal of time in the Theatre Arts department working behind the scenes.
Brian joined the Student Union in 2018. As an Audiovisual Production Coordinator, his responsibilities include providing event technology support as well as production consultation and coordination for the Student Union, Special Events Center, Stueckle Sky Center, Alumni and Friends Center, and other special event locations across campus.
Josh first joined Boise State University in 2007 as the Evening Facilities Service Manager and was promoted in 2015 to Assistant Director of the Student Union. Josh's responsibilities include providing front-line event support and management for the Student Union, Special Events Center, Stueckle Sky Center, and other special events across campus. Prior to joining Boise State University, Josh spent 7 years a shift supervisor for University Dining Services. Josh holds a B.B.A., Business Management from Boise State University.
Bill joined the Boise State team as the Student Union Facilities and Events Operations Manager in July of 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in German from Penn State University and a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Liberty University. Before coming to Boise State, he spent seven years as an active duty Air Force officer with tours at Sheppard Air Force Base, TX as Deputy Chief of Community Services as well as at Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID where he held positions as the Director of Human Resources, Director of Sustainment Services, and Chief of Command and Control Operations for the 366th Fighter Wing. Additionally, Bill served a deployed tour in the Middle East as the Director of Manpower and Personnel Operations for the 9th Air Expeditionary Task Force-Levant and the Executive Officer to the Deputy Commanding General of the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation INHERENT RESOLVE.
