Brent has been a member of the Student Union since 2011 and from 2003-2009. Brent currently serves as the Student Union Director and provides leadership, supervision, development, and coordination for the Student Union. Brent rejoined Boise State University in 2011 and served as the Associate Director from 2011-1013. Brent spent two years as the Associate Director, Atwood Memorial Center at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. From 2003 - 2009, Brent served in a variety of positions in the Student Union, including Evening Facilities Manager, Facilities Manager, and Assistant Director. Brent has a B.S. in Recreation Administration from St. Cloud State University and a Masters of Physical Education, Athletic Administration from Idaho State University.
Elise joined the Student Union team in 2014 as Associate Director. Elise provides leadership, supervision, direction, and coordination to University Event Services and Audio Visual Production Services and supports art administration and management for the Student Union. Prior to joining the Student Union, Elise supported Boise State orientation and family outreach as a Coordinator with New Student Programs from 2010 to 2014. Elise served as the graduate assistant for Northwestern University's Norris University Center from 2009 to 2010, and as Area Coordinator for Housing & Residential Education at Vanderbilt University from 2007 to 2009. Elise earned her Master of Science in Education & Social Policy with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration & Policy from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and received her undergraduate degree in Human & Organizational Development and English Literature from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
As the Bronco Card/Information Desk and Games Center Manager, Meaghan leads customer service initiatives and offerings on behalf of the Student Union. Meaghan provides leadership to the information desk student employee team, while also providing recreation programming support and leadership to the Games Center student employee team.
University Event Services
Jentry has served as the University Event Services Manager since 2014. She provides leadership for the University Event Serviecs team and brings a signature approach to client-centered events at the Student Union, Stueckle Sky Center, Special Events Center, outdoor events, and multiple other event venues across campus. Jentry first joined Boise State University in 2011 as the Event Coordinator for Stueckle Sky Center. Prior to joining Boise State, Jentry served as the Volunteer Coordinator for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho. Jentry has a B.A. in Communication from Boise State University. She is certified in Wedding and Event Planning by the U.S. Career Institute.
As a Senior Event Coordinator for the University Event Services team, Rochelle provides event education, scheduling, and coordination for the Student Union and various venues throughout campus, providing high level coordination, planning, and event management. Rochelle provides coaching and direction for a team of student Assistant Event Coordinators who receive professional development and training in event planning and client care, in addition to a student Marketing Assistant who supports promotions for Student Union programs and services. Rochelle became an Event Coordinator for University Event Services in 2013 and a Senior Event Coordinator in 2016. Prior to joining University Event Services, Rochelle served as Event Coordinator for the Idaho Botanical Garden from 2011 to 2013. Rochelle has a B.A. in Communications and Public Relations from Boise State University and first joined the Student Union as an information desk student manager in 2007. She holds additional experience in promotions and program coordination.
Emma joined University Event Services in 2016 as Event Coordinator, managing scheduling and event coordination for the Student Union and various venues throughout campus. Emma holds a B.A. in Communication from Boise State University. Previously, Emma served as an Event Coordinator and Guest Relations Manager and as Box Office Assistant Manager for Centurylink Arena.
Dunya joined University Event Services in 2016 as Event Coordinator, managing scheduling and event coordination for the Student Union and various venues throughout campus. Dunya has a degree in Hotel Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, with credentials from the Villingen-Schwenningen Hospitality Specialized School, Germany. Dunya previously served as Event Catering Sales Coordinator for Aramark, and in event coordination and business administration roles in Boise, Idaho and Ludwigshafen, Germany.
Sara joined University Event Services in 2016 as a student in the role of Assistant Event Coordinator. In 2017, she joined our professional team as an Event Coordinator, managing, scheduling, and coordinating events for the Student Union and various venues throughout campus. Sara holds a degree in Social Science from Boise State University, specializing in Criminal Justice and Psychology, as well as a Certificate in Leadership and Human Relations. As a Boise native, she enjoys most outdoor activities, from snowboarding in the winter to camping in the summer, and anything in between.
Marlayna joined the University Event Services team in the Spring of 2017 after serving as the Idaho National Guard MWR Events Manager at Gowen Field. She graduated with a degree from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Integrated Studies Degree in Communication, Technical Sales, and Interior Design. As an Event Coordinator, Marlayna manages, schedules, and coordinates events for the Student Union and various venues throughout campus. Whether planning large scale conferences, intimate weddings, or holiday parties, Marlayna makes event planning simple and enjoyable. With both an interior design and a catering background she brings attention to detail in every aspect of events from the event layout to the menu planning. Outside of work Marlayna loves traveling with her husband and spending time with her four children, especially at their sporting events. She has a passion for cooking, gardening, and enjoys entertaining family and friends in her Boise home.
Audiovisual Production Services
Steve joined Boise State University in 2004. As the Audiovisual Production Services Manager, Steve provides management of the Audiovisual Production Services team, providing event technology support as well as production and systems consultation for the Student Union, Special Events Center, Stueckle Sky Center, Alumni and Friends Center, and other special event locations across campus. Prior to Steve's time at Boise State University he spent 24 years in the British Royal Navy (21 years in Submarine Service) where he was trained and educated as an electronics engineer and specialized in SONAR systems. Following Steve's time in the British Royal Navy, he gained his teaching credential in England.
Adam joined Boise State University in 2016. As an Audiovisual Production Coordinator, his responsibilities include providing event technology support as well as production consultation and coordination for the Student Union, Special Events Center, Stueckle Sky Center, Alumni and Friends Center, and other special event locations across campus. Prior to joining Boise State University full-time, Adam served as an Audiovisual Production Intern with the Student Union. Adam has a B.S. in Music Industry with an audio production specialty from Minnesota State University Mankato, and an A.A.S. in Audio Production from Hennepin Technical College in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Josh first joined Boise State University in 2007 as the Evening Facilities Service Manager and was promoted in 2015 to Assistant Director of the Student Union. Josh's responsibilities include providing front-line event support and management for the Student Union, Special Events Center, Stueckle Sky Center, and other special events across campus. Prior to joining Boise State University, Josh spent 7 years a shift supervisor for University Dining Services. Josh holds a B.B.A., Business Management from Boise State University.
Anthony joined Boise State University in 2014 as the Assistant Facilities Manager. Anthony's responsibilities include providing front-line event support and management for the Student Union, Special Events Center, and other special events across campus, along with managing the evening facilities crew. Prior to Boise State, Anthony earned his bachelors degree in Psychology and masters in Recreation Management from the University of Idaho.
Jim joined Boise State University as the Student Union Building Facility Foreman in 2014. His primary responsibilities include managing the Student Union Maintenance staff, coordinating maintenance repair and projects, and maintaining retail food service outlets across campus. Jim's previous career is in private contract work and entrepreneurship, serving as owner of Clearwater Equipment since 1995, and owner and operator of Huntington Beach Hydraulics from 1989-1995.
