Effective September 3, 2009

Distribution Process

- Students may obtain tickets at only 3 campus locations: Athletic Ticket Office, Taco Bell Arena (entrance 2), and the Student Union Information Desk (1st floor SUB)

- Fist Day Ticket distribution begins at 8:00 am. All other days, tickets will be available during regular business hours starting at 10:00 am.

- Students may begin lining up at 6:00 am on the first day of ticket distribution. Students lining up prior to 6:00 am will be dispersed.

- Part-time students will now purchase Part-Time Student Tickets.

- No guest tickets will be sold on the first day of ticket distribution.

First Day Ticket Distribution

Based on availability.

- Full-time undergraduate students (full-fee, 12 credits or more) will be allowed to: Pick up a maximum of 3 student tickets, using 3 valid full-time student IDs (2 plus your own)

- Full-time graduate students (9 credits or more) will be allowed to: Pick up a maximum of 3 student tickets, using 3 valid full-time student IDs (2 plus your own)

- Part-time students will be allowed to: Purchase* on (1) part-time student ticket with their own valid part-time student ID

               $32.00 for Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada

               $24.50 for Miami OH, UC Davis, San Jose State and New Mexico State

Second Day Ticket Distribution

Based on availiability, student ticket distribution may continue as outlined above. Additionally:

- Full-time undergraduate students (full-fee, 12 credits or more) will be allowed to: **Purchase a maximum of one guest ticket using their own full-time student ID.

-Full-time graduate students (9 credits or more) will be allowed to: **Purchase a maximum of one guest ticket using their own full-time student ID.

Please note: Only the actual card owner can purchase a guest ticket with their card.

Miscellaneous Provisions

- A Boise State student ID with a valid expiration date MUST be presernted at the entrance gate with the student ticket.

- Tickets are based upon availabiltiy and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

- MasterCard and Visa are accepted as payment; however, cash is the quickest! Sorry, checks are not accepted.

- Lost student and guest tickets will not be reprinted.

Bronco Bucks and Commuter Meals

Your Bronco ID card can be used like a check card at many campus locations by purchasing Bronco Bucks.ᅠ You can add Bronco Bucks to your Bronco ID card to use at any of the food vendors on campus, at the Bookstore, and Parking.

Meal credits called Commuter Meals can also be placed on your Bronco ID card.ᅠ Commuter Meals can be purchased for use at the Boise River Cafe in the SUB.

You can purchase both Bronco Bucks and Commuter Meals in person at the Information Desk with cash, check, Visa, or MasterCard.ᅠ You may also purchase them over the phone at (208) 426-4636 with a Visa or MasterCard.

Discount Tickets

Patrons must present a valid Boise State student or employee ID or Alumni card to purchase discount tickets.

Regal Cinemas (Edwards Theatres)

Roaring Springs/Wahooz Discount Tickets

BSU students & faculty can buy discounted tickets online. Valid June thru August. Includes Wahooz Unlimited Fun Pass, plus a full day at Roaring Springs. New for 2009! Use both parks on the same day or use the one park ticket on day and the other part ticket within the following six days.

Laptop Checkout

Laptop checkout is available to full and part-time students free of charge. All you need is a valid Student ID card. The laptops can be checked out for two (2) hours at a time and cannot leave the SUB. Wireless internet access is enabled on all laptops.

Lost and Found

All items left in the SUB are placed at the Info Desk. If you have lost something, please come to the Information Desk to identify it.

Promotional Services: Information Desk Backdrop

The Student Union provides Promotional Services for Student Organizations and Boise State University departments to promote their events and services on campus.

Information Desk Backdrop

Large poster advertising space is available behind the Information Desk. This space is available to Student Organizations and Boise State University departments wanting to promote an upcoming event or for general advertising.

There are two framed advertsing spaces, each measuring 60"x60".

  1. Backdrop advertising must be 60"x60".
  2. Material can be poster paper, construction paper, or printed paper.
  3. Backdrop advertising must be delivered to the Information Desk on the Thursday prior to installation.
  4. Backdrop advertising must include the name of the organization or department.
  5. The two spaces can be reserved from two weeks to one month, depending on availability.
  6. In addition to the advertising space, the Information Desk staff can wear t-shirts that you provide to help promote your event. Please inquire at the Information Desk.
  7. Reservations can be made online at sub.boisestate.edu/content/promorequest.cfm or by calling the Information Desk at 426-4636.
Promotional Services: Outdoor Kiosks

The Student Union provides Promotional Services for Student Organizations and Boise State University departments to promote their events and services on campus.

Outdoor Kiosks

The Boise State campus kiosks were purchased in a combined effort through ASBSU and the Student Union for the purpose of providing permanent outside locations for advertising and promotion of activities and special events. Currently, two locations are available: one behind the Special Events Center and another in the Central Quad across from the Library. The Outdoor Kiosks are available to recognized Student Organizations and Boise State University Departments.

Reservations

  1. Reservations can be made online at sub.boisestate.edu/content/promorequest.cfm or by calling the Information Desk at 426-4636.
  2. Space may be reserved starting August 1 for fall semester and December 1 for spring semester.
  3. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. The size of the banner must be known at the time of the reservation.
  4. Reservations are allowed once per month, per entity, depending on availabiltiy.
  5. Two (2) weeks is the maximum time a reservation can be made for a single event or advertisement, depending on availability.
  6. Each location has reservatble space for 4-8 banners (depending on the sizes already reserved).

Banner Construction

  1. All banners must be water repellant vinyl or canvas material. Banners on other materials will not be accpeted.
  2. Banners must be the size of either: Three (3') long x nine (9') wide with (8) grommets (4 on top and 4 on bottom) spaced evenly from corner to corner OR three (3') long x four (4') wide with 4-6 grommets (2-3 on top, 2-3 on bottom) spaced evenly from corner to corner.
  3. One sided print only. Text must include the name of the student organization or department if it is not implied by the event name.
  4. All other policies regarding campus posting and promotions must be adhered to.

Delivery/Pickup

  1. Banners are to be delivered to the Information Desk by 5:00 pm on the Thursday before the reservation is scheduled.
  2. Pickup of the banner should take place the Tuesday after the reservation expires. The Information Desk staff will contact you after your banner has been taken down.

Installation and Removal

  1. Information Desk is responsible for the installation and removal of all banners.
  2. Banners not hung by the Information Desk will be removed.

Special Note

  1. Neither Boise State University nor the Student Union will be responsible for any vandalism or theft to the banners.
Promotional Services: Poster Distribution

The Student Union provides Promotional Services for Student Organizations and Boise State University departments to promote their events and services on campus.

Poster Distribution

Poster distribution is available throughout campus for Student Organizations and Boise State University departments wanting to promote upcoming events or for general information. Bulletin boards are University owned displays and are not considered public forums.

  1. Reservations can be made online at sub.boisestate.edu/content/promorequest.cfm or by calling the Information Desk at 426-4636. There are 15 total spaces available each week and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Only on posting per club/deparment per board is allowed at one time.
  2. Have your original flyer approved by the Information Desk prior to making copies to ensure all criteria are met. Outdated flyers and those that are not permitted advertising local businesses, yard sales, personal sales items and other community events will be removed.
  3. Make 55 copies of the flyer. Periodically, the number of locations available for posting may change and after your flyer is approved, you will be informed of how many flyers need to be provided for distribution. Space on board is limited, so the maxiumum size is 8 1/2" x 11". Commercially produced posters larger than this size may be accepted; however, preference is given to smaller posters because the goal of the distribution program is to maximize the circulation of student organizations and Boise State Information.
  4. Deliver the approved copies to the Information Desk before 5:00 pm, Thursday prior to distribution. Posters are distributed every two (2) weeks during fall and spring semesters only, with the final distribution the weekend prior to "dead week".
  5. Posters will only be accepted two weeks prior to an event's date. Posters for general information (i.e. advertising weekly club meetins) will only stay up two weeks at any one time.
  6. All flyers must be approved and stamped by the Information Desk. Flyers must have the sponsoring organization's name printed on them and a contact number, e-mail, or website. Advertisements promoting the use of alcohol, or activities at a facility where alcohol will be served will not be accepted for any advertisement venue of Boise State University. The Information Desk reserves the right to decline any poster.
  7. In all instances, event postings take precedence over general advertising. Student Organziation and ASBSU/SPB/VSB event postings take precedence over department event postings. Department event advertising takes precedence over club general advertising, but not club event advertising.
Promotional Services: Student Union Digital Kiosks

Student Union Digital Kiosks

The Boise State Student Union is pleased to offer a unique marketing opportunity for recognized student groups and campus departments.

Six digital kiosks are strategically placed throughout the Student Union to provide information and content for students and guests of Boise State. The purpose of the digital kiosks is for promotions and marketing of university services, events, and activities.

Content is required two weeks prior to the requested start date. Promotions will run no more than two weeks and will begin Monday morning and run through Sunday evening. Requests are subject to approval by the Student Union. An email confirmation will be sent once submission is approved.

Groups are responsible for creating and submitting their own promotional material.

Pre-formatted, custom image and electronic posters.

  1. In order to achieve optimum use of the screen, please format the image to 412 pixels wide x 309 pixels tall or in a 4:3 aspect ratio resolution.
  2. Submit as a JPEG, PDF, gif or png file to fit the exact size of the zone.
  3. Images can be submitted as slides within a PowerPoint presentation.

The Student Union provides Promotional Services for Student Organizations and Boise State University departments to promote their events and services on campus.

Table Tent Promotions

Table Tent advertising (plastic three-extension sign holders) are available to Student Organizations and Boise State University departments wanting to promote an upcoming event or for general information.

  1. All Table Tent advertising must be 6"h x 4"w and printed on single-sided index card stock. Table tents on regular paper or the incorrect size will not be accepted.
  2. All Table Tent advertising must be delivered to the Information Desk on the Thursday prior to their installation. Make sure to reserve space before creating your table tent. You will need 125 table tents for a one-week display.
  3. All TableTtent advertising must include the full name of the organization (no abbreviations) and a phone number, email, or email.
  4. Table Tent advertising will remain in the table tent displays for one week.
  5. Reservations can be made online at sub.boisestate.edu/content/promorequest.cfm or by calling the Information Desk at 426-4636. Space may be reserved starting August 1 for the fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester.

Advertising space "Toilet Talk" is available in the restroom stalls on the first floor of the Student Union Building. This advertising space is available to Student Organizations and Boise State University deparmtnes wanting to promote an upcoming event or general information.

  1. Advertising space is available in quarter page sections or one-half page sections. These spaces can be reserved for two (2) weeks.
  2. Reservations can be made online at sub.boisestate.edu/content/promorequest.cfm or by calling the Information Desk at 426-4636. Please include the information you would like to include in your advertisement.
